Penang Laksa

Penang Laksa known as asam laksa from the Malay for tamarind, comes from the Malaysian island of Penang. Penang Laksa is listed at number 7 on the World's 50 best foodscompiled by CNN Go in July 2011

nasi kandar

Nasi kandar is a popular northern Malaysian dish, which originates from Penang. It was popularized by Indian Muslim traders from India. It is a meal of steamed rice which can be plain or mildly flavored, and served with a variety of curries and side dishes.

Cendol is an iced sweet dessert that contains droplets of worm-like green rice flour jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup. It is commonly found in Southeast Asia. Next to the green jelly, additional toppings might be added, including diced jackfruit, sweetened red azuki beans or durian.
